Today's after-dinner project: Read some more of Howard Aiken: Portrait of a Computer Pioneer. Interesting book, and I'm going to have to pick up the companion volume (which includes Aiken's original proposal for Mark I, an essay by RADM Grace Hopper, and lots of other nifty things) as well. And then I need to buy the second edition of CLR...
